My story gave birth to a purpose.
Marizete Evans is a clinical and forensic psychoanalyst, author of Healing Mosaic and creator of the Mosaico de Cura Method.
Her work was shaped not only by study and professional experience, but also by a path she had to walk herself: looking at her own story, understanding the patterns that once protected her and transforming the way she lived.
When she found the courage to face what she had lived through, she understood who she had needed to become in order to survive — and how many of her choices were still being guided by that earlier version of herself.
Understanding those patterns changed the way she lived. Her own reconstruction then became a purpose: to help others understand their stories, recognize what still shapes their choices and discover who they wish to become.
FROM HISTORY TO PURPOSE
I did not find my purpose despite my story. I found it within it.
Roots and new beginnings
Her three children were her greatest motivation to rise, rebuild her life and look courageously at her own story. Love for them awakened the desire to understand and interrupt patterns that had crossed generations.
In simple words
Many behaviors, choices and reactions may have developed as forms of adaptation, protection or survival. With time, they can continue to appear even when they no longer help in the same way. Becoming aware of them opens space for more conscious choices — and a transformation that can reach future generations.
